What’s one thing about living in Vietnam that surprised you the most?

I’ve been in Vietnam for a bit now and I keep noticing little things that are very different from what I’m used to.
For me it’s probably the pace of everyday life — sometimes chaotic, sometimes super efficient, and somehow both at once.

Curious what surprised other people the most when they first moved here or spent time here.

Is it just me or does Vietnam completely ruin food delivery in other countries?

Been living in Vietnam for a bit now and honestly I think Grab/Food delivery here spoiled me.

The speed is insane. Half the time food arrives before I even get properly hungry. Prices are also way lower than what I was paying back home.

Now whenever I travel somewhere else, delivery suddenly feels slow, expensive and weirdly complicated.

Did anyone else have the same experience after living here for a while?

Former Binance CIS head and Blum co-founder Vladimir Smerkis reportedly sentenced to 5 years

Just saw reports that Vladimir Smerkis — former head of Binance CIS and co-founder of Blum — was sentenced to 5 years in a general-regime prison colony in Russia over a fraud-related case connected to a crypto promo deal.
From what I understand, the case involved allegations around undelivered promotional traffic and disputes over crypto marketing services.
Pretty crazy story considering how recognizable he was in the CIS crypto space not that long ago.

Feels like another reminder of how chaotic and unregulated parts of crypto marketing still are. Curious what people here think about the whole situation.
