Went to get an Ultrasound done after a late period and pregnancy scare. Long story short the my scan shows polycystic morphology for my ovaries. OBGYN says I most likely have PCOS but some things worry me. There was no lab work done. I have had a 28 day cycle (bleeding for 5 days) since the age of 13 and I do not present with hirsutism. I had an IUD at 19 for a year and that was the only time my menses was nonstop. I’m thinking of going to my PCP for lab work if the OBGYN refuses. Consulting doctor who interpreted ultrasound agrees more investigation is needed. Any advice? Thanks.
