I'm looking for advice on shot matching.

I'm looking for advice on shot matching.

Hi guys!

Based on your advice, I decided to add some technical aspects to my showreel, and now I’d really appreciate the opinion and advice of professionals.

I’m currently practicing shot matching between footage from different cameras and shot in different lighting conditions. All clips are at the Rec.709 stage with no creative grading applied. The first shot was used as the reference.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated - maybe I’m overlooking some important detail.

I’d especially appreciate tips on shot matching.

There are Shots from Arri, RED, Sigma and Sony cameras. All clips in Rec.709.

Following the rules I need to attach the node tree:

This is my typical node tree. I don’t use every node for each grade.

It's much easier to view in a carousel format, but the moderators won't approve it.

Hi everyone!

I’ve been working in color grading for quite a while, but mostly outside the professional post-production world. So, to be honest, I’m not sure how well my work aligns with industry standards. I thought I’d ask the people who actually make a living doing this.

I’d really appreciate hearing the opinions of professionals in the industry. Constructive criticism and an honest outside perspective are exactly what I’m looking for.

In another group, I already received a couple of valuable suggestions, and I’m currently reworking and expanding my showreel based on that feedback. I’d be grateful for any thoughts or comments!

The portfolio includes videos in different formats, shot on different cameras.

Main version: SHOWREEL
Version without the wipe: NO WIPE
Rec.709 version: REC709

Hey everyone, I've been grading for a good while now, but mostly outside the professional post world - so I honestly don't know where my work sits against industry standard. Figured it's time to stop guessing and just ask the people who actually do this for a living. I really want to hear it straight from people in the industry - a sober outside perspective is exactly what I need.

In the showreel, there are many different video formats from various cameras.
