Let's say I port my number to Tello and one day Tello decides to suspend or close my account, will I be able to port out my phone number to another provider or will it be locked and re-assigned to a new customer?
I'm asking this because I've had my phone number since childhood and I've grown attached to it, I would be really sad to lose it
Since Tello recently made it so you need to connect to a US tower to activate a new eSim, I had some questions about buying a plan and porting my number over to Tello:
1- If I buy a plan and install the eSim on my phone while being overseas, can I safely port my number and use it only with WiFi calling as long as I keep paying for my plan?
2 - Since the eSim won't be considered "activated" (because it requires to connect to a US tower), is there a risk of eventually losing my ported number as I won't be in the US for a few years?
Also, if anyone had any experience with their account being deactivated or suspended, do they allow you to port away your phone number, or is it permanently lost and assigned to a new customer?
