Audio/Video keeps pausing without me doing anything.

Youtube videos and music apps keep pausing automatically. This will happen every three to five seconds. I can’t even multitask while listening to music because the song will just pause itself.

What the problem is not:

  1. Bluetooth is completely turned off, I am using wired headphones.

  2. It is not the internet connection. I have connected to the internet at different places and still had this problem. Also tried just using data.

  3. My phone is updated to the latest version.

  4. This happens in multiple apps. Both with Youtube and with music apps.

  5. I closed out of every background app.

I do not know what the problem could possibly be. This has been going on for the past two days.

I know insomnia is a common side-effect of ADHD meds but I haven't seen anyone discuss side effects as "severe" as mine.

I was recently diagnosed with ADHD and prescribed 10mg Adderall and 20mg total per day. To be truthful, I have not really been following this schedule. Sometimes I go three days without taking any at all. Once. I took 40mg in one day. It's kind of inconsistent because I only take the pills when i need them.

Main Part: Since I started taking Adderall, I have been sleeping a lot less. When I say a lot less, I mean that in the past week I have stayed up for over 24 hours three separate times. As of right now, I have been up for 28-ish hours.

In the past, when I got little sleep, I would feel like a zombie. Now, I feel fine for some reason. And it's not like I'm staying up on purpose, I will literally forget that I haven't slept. The same way other ADHD people forget to eat or take their meds.I do crash eventually, but that's usually at the 24-30hr mark, which is like twice as long as a normal person's limit.

I am aware that my sleep patterns are extremely unhealthy.

I mentioned my irregular pill-taking habits because I guess that could be what's causing it? Idk, I'll probably tell this to my psychiatrist when I see him, but that's not for another two weeks.

Anyways, I just wanted to share my experience. I'll probably go to bed now.

I mean things like:

  • “Describe a time you disagreed with someone.”
  • “Describe a time you solved a difficult problem/conflict.”
  • And any other "describe a time..." questions.

I have never disagreed anyone because I’m conflict-averse. I typically just go along with whatever others want (I know that’s a bad thing). I also haven’t been in any difficult situations. To be honest, my life is very conflict-free.

I don’t know how to handle these experience-based questions because I don’t really do much of anything at all. I’m kinda just a hermit who bedrots all day.

Btw, I’m a college freshman with a summer job interview coming up.
