Hi everyone - I bought this item off Craigslist, sight unseen. I will be picking up next week. From what I understand, this piece was bought on the East Coast by the seller's mother and this was part of her estate. In the meantime, at a cursory glance, is anyone able to determine the type of wood, age, and whether this should be refinished or kept as is (even the poorly painted red bookshelf)? I know that it's missing a slider and any suggestions for finding a replacement piece would be greatly appreciated as well. I appreciate your wisdom, advice, comments, and even tsk tsks.
