Krittika as the driving force of consumption. Hunger is the driving force behind all life, including desires for knowledge, freedom and spiritual growth. The indriyas (sense), located on the face, are constantly consuming sensory information, representing a continous cycle of consumption and transformation. The body is viewed as both Soma (nourishment) and Agni (Fire/consumer), existing in metabolic balance.
Afflicted Agni tattva could give metabolic and skin related issues and the person under prominent krittika influence tends to consume a lot, they are hunger driven, it could be anything, food, status, even after having a lot it feels not enough for them not in the sense as to jyeshtha where there is constant internal hollowness but with krittika whatever they consume it burns and dissolves into them which creates much more consumption. Appetite is significant here.
