Fresh Biluochun on a rainy day

I love my puer but nothing beats fresh green tea. This is the Reserve Laoshan Biluochun from Verdant Tea. I have ordered this tea three years running now and this stuff is HITTING today. I drank toasty amazing longjing all week and this is a pleasant contrast.

It is a bright vegetal tea but not the grassy/hay kind of vegetal. The dry leaves and the first steep smelled like hops and volatile terpenes, a pleasant surprise which I attribute to the freshness. Subsequent steeps brought out the persistent flavors of peppers and peppercorns. The leaves are beautiful. Overall, the session had a lovely feeling of refinement and the tea commanded my attention.
