I'm ripping some movies and some don't have stereo tracks. I don't have a surround system, but may in the future. I know a downmixed track won't sound as good as a stereo track, but between a 5.1 and 7.1 track would there be a difference in quality when downmixing?

I'd want the 5.1 if it'll sound better, but if there is no difference then the 7.1 track would be nice for futureproofing.
