هذه أول مرة أشارك فيها على ريديت. أنا شابة مغربية في العشرينات من عمري، انتقلت مؤخرًا إلى عمّان من أجل العمل. قبل مجيئي إلى الأردن، كنت أعتقد أن الأمور ستكون طبيعية ومشابهة لبلدي، خاصة وأن كلا البلدين مسلمان.
لكنني لاحظت بعض الاختلافات في طريقة التعامل معي، خصوصًا بعد أن يعرف الناس أنني من المغرب وأعيش هنا بمفردي. بصراحة، لم أشعر بهذا الإحساس من قبل، لا في المغرب ولا حتى عندما كنت في أوروبا. أنا أحترم هذا البلد وأهله وثقافته، لكن في الفترة الأخيرة بدأت أنزعج من بعض التصرفات، خاصة في الشارع والأماكن العامة حيث أعيش
سؤالي هو: هل هناك نظرة سلبية تجاه المغاربة بشكل عام؟ أم أن المشكلة في المنطقة التي أعيش فيها؟ وما هو الحل برأيكم؟ لقد حاولت فعلاً التعامل بطرق مختلفة، لكن دون نتيجة.
وبالنسبة لمن قد يقول “ارجعي إلى بلدك”، فأنا اخترت المجيء إلى الأردن من أجل العمل واكتساب تجربة جديدة والتعرف على بلد مسلم آخر. أما عن طريقة لباسي، فأنا أرتدي بشكل عادي ومحترم، مثل أي فتاة تربت بشكل جيد.

It’s my first time posting on Reddit. I’m a Moroccan woman in my twenties who recently moved to Amman for work. Before coming to Jordan, I assumed it would feel similar to my home country since both are Muslim countries.
But I’ve noticed some differences in how people تعامل with me—especially after they find out I’m Moroccan and living alone. Honestly, I’ve never felt this way before, neither in Morocco nor when I was living in Europe. I truly respect the country, its people, and its culture, but lately I’ve been feeling overwhelmed by certain behaviors, particularly in the streets and public spaces where I live.
So I’m wondering: is there generally a negative perception of Moroccans, or could it be just the area I’m living in? And what can I do about it? I’ve genuinely tried different approaches, but nothing seems to work.
For those who might say “go back to your country,” I chose to come to Jordan to gain experience and discover another Muslim country. And regarding how I dress—I dress modestly and simply, like any well-raised, normal girl.
