American, male 46, traveling solo. I’ll be in Galway for 3 nights, 4 days staying in an Airbnb near Pat Hogan Pharmacy on Father Griffin Avenue. I need your best pub / whiskey bar recommendations. I plan on going to cliffs of Moher one day but I’m also interested in touring distilleries, castles and cathedrals. I live in a touristy area in the US and I hate it so I sympathize with you locals who hate tourists. I want to go blend in and have fun like the locals in Galway. Also, where’s the best place for Catholic Mass on a Sunday? My apologies… I’m a few bourbons deep & rambling but I’m super excited b/c Ireland is a place I’ve wanted to visit for a long time and this is my first international travel out of the US.

If my research is correct, my mother’s side of the family came from County Armagh and immigrated to the US back in the 1600’s. She was a Connelly. I’ll be in Ireland for 10 days in May. Is County Armagh and Armagh City worth a visit? What places would you recommend or things to do there?
Flying in from the US and will spend 4 nights in Dublin. What are your top favorite pubs in Dublin? I want your most authentic places. The ones where the locals go, not the tourist traps. Thanks.
