Since I couldn’t find a comprehensive guide, here is my experience.
🗺️ General Tips First
Entering the park:
• You can walk into Celestial Park during early entry even without an early entry ticket — just can’t access the lands yet
• Without early entry, the only thing you can do is grab a spot at the Starbucks on the right side as you enter (not the one near Super Nintendo World) and shop.
Food & drinks:
• Coke Freestyle machines are missing some options — no caffeine-free Diet Coke FYI
• No Freestyle machines anywhere in Harry Potter World at any Universal park, so fill up before you head in
• Unlimited Freestyle cup pays for itself
• Look for sinks by lockers in line, dump your drinks (you have unlimited freestyle and avoid a mess)
• Plan meals on off hours (10:10-11:45, 2:30-4:00, 6:45-7:15)
Random but useful:
• A drumstick holder with a lanyard + a little stuffing makes a perfect wand holster
• Stardust Racer isn’t worth burning an Express Pass on (in my experience more on that below)
• Be ready to pivot your plan on the fly — rides go down constantly and wait times swing hard
• Embrace the app (skip universal pay)
• Universals face scanning tech is incredible.
📋 My Day: Express Pass, No Early Entry
Quick note before the timeline: Mine Cart Madness was down when I arrived, which caused a chain reaction — everyone fled Super Nintendo World, so I pivoted from starting at Battle at the Ministry to going straight to Mario Kart instead. Always have a backup plan.
