Need help clarifying if I'm eligible for overtime pay
Indiana requires time and a half for overtime, but there are a few exceptions to this. I tried looking up the laws, and there are a few exemptions to this rule, but there are requirements around those exemptions that makes it a little murky. My situation has many variables that may make me exempt. In short, I work as a manager in a horse stable. I am a salaried employee and paid for a 5-day work week regardless of hours worked during those days. I am the only full-time employee and the only employee NOT paid under the table. There are 1 to 2 part time employees paid under the table that I oversee. While I'm not sure of the revenue the stable pulls in, I am positive it is under $500,000.
My question is, if I work additional days per week is my employer legally required to pay me time and a half for those days? Thanks for any information!
