Title: Made Around $1000 in 3 Months Doing AI Evaluation Tasks as a Software Developer

I wanted to share my experience working on AI evaluation/training projects as a side income while doing software development studies/work.

Around 3 months ago, I started working with Handshake AI on different AI-related tasks. So far, I’ve earned roughly $1000, and payments have been coming weekly without issues in my experience.

The work is mostly things like:

• evaluating AI responses
• reasoning/coding tasks
• instruction following
• comparing model outputs
• checking accuracy/quality

A few things I learned quickly:

• quality matters much more than speed
• reading instructions carefully is extremely important
• technical background definitely helps
• some tasks are surprisingly mentally tiring

It’s not some “easy money” thing, but if you’re into programming, CS, AI, or problem-solving, it can be a decent remote side opportunity.

I recently got added to one of their newer projects called Project Lotus.

Just sharing because I don’t see many genuine experiences posted about these AI contractor platforms.

If others here have worked on similar AI training/evaluation platforms, I’d honestly like to hear how your experience has been too.
