Is this normal for a new piano? This is a brand new kawaii gl-20. It was delivered about 2 months ago and had a tuning a month ago. This tone has been there since day one.

The tuner noted “harsh tone” but couldn’t get rid of it and didn’t find anything vibrating or loose inside. Even soft play between g#2 and f#3 has these awful high frequency overtones that really grate on my ears, playing anything forte in that range and forget about it, it sounds like a slinky from hell.

Are my ears just sensitive to that particular frequency range or does this sound unusual?

Any suggestions to deal with it? I love the instrument otherwise, it’s just that octave range.
