21 LPA job currently (32mo Workex) 9/9/8 Tier 1 UG GEM Working as a software developer

I want to get into frontend consulting, trouble deciding between XLRI now or trying for ISB next year. Another attempt as IIM ABC is purely bonus. Given MBB and EYP takes like 25 students combined in XL, and Kearney, LEK, A&M don't visit anymore, does it make sense to try another year for ISB with 4yr workex?

If I join XLRI and for some reason I don't get into consult (pretty decent chances), I don't want to have the resentment of not trying my best to get into ISB/ABC, and being stuck in a remote part of India, paying 35L, for 2 years.

Please advice me on how to proceed and if the gap between XL and ISB justify the risk-reward ratio?
