How long is too long?
Our house had been on the market for 3 months, our neighbor has expressed he'd like to purchase , did the preapproval and put in an offer. We countered on May 5 with incentives. It's a VA assumable. We haven't heard anything back if it's accepted or not. We're in no rush to sell. We already told our realtor that if it doesn't work out we'd like to take our home off the market and try again next year or in two years. I want to take it off the market before school ends so we can enjoy the summer. School ends in two weeks. Our assumable package expires May 24. Our realtor did reach out to him today but haven't heard back yet.
How long is too long to wait if our counter offer is accepted, any advice?
