What is a "secondary start device" on a heat pump?
A HVAC tech recommended that the secondary start device be replaced in the near future on the heat pump. They also mentioned adding a "hard start kit" as well, so I know they must not be the same thing. I understand what the hard start kit is, but when I google for info on a "secondary start device" for a heat pump, nothing comes up and I get lots of links for info about a hard start kit! Thanks for any info you can give.
