What are the white packets attached to the insects abdomen?
I feel like these are a type of parasite but my microscope doesn't have enough magnification to see them clearly. Super interested to hear what you all think! Thank you for your thoughts :)
I believe this fella to be of Chironomidae sp. and was collected in Gaspé, Québec in 2024.
