Surgery soon

Hello! I am a 51yo F and have a complete posterior root tear of the medial meniscus. Surgeon said I am an excellent candidate for repair surgery. Very minimal arthritis at the moment. (Surprised me. Lol) I plan on getting an ice machine, a raised toilet seat, and bars to help me get up and down on the toilet. Is there anything else you'd recommend me getting for mobility?

Also, how much pain were you in afterwards and for how long? I'm getting pretty nervous. Thanks for your input.
