This is the area of water I most frequent. This is a very shallow lake local to me (northeast Ohio) about 20-25 ft max in this location. There is a healthy walleye population but as long as I fished here I have never caught one. However on the boards in the baitshops I walk into they always have walleye written down as most recent and common catches. I’ve used harnesses (to little response due to the overgrown weeds at the bottom when I’m on my jon boat. I’ve tried jogging worms, jigs with minnow trailers, most soft plastics and jerk and crank baits. Issue is there are a lot of rocks around the opening at the causeway and I don’t hear much other people talk about walleye in other sections of the lake. Any advice for how to start catching some walleye?
