EmuDeck desktop shortcut keeps opening text code in Kate (Ayaneo 2 / Bazzite)
Hello, I'm setting up a dual-boot Ayaneo 2 (1.2TB Bazzite partition / 800GB Windows). I have all my retro games loaded onto the Bazzite partition (they're backed up on my 1TB SanDisk SD).
I installed EmuDeck via the Bazzite Portal, I completed the full setup, but every time I click theEmuDeck.desktopicon, it loops and opens up the raw source code inside the "Kate" text editor instead of launching the installer app dashboard.
- Dolphin behavior is already confirmed and set to "Run Script".
- Checking "Is Executable" in permissions doesn't bypass it.
- Running
sh ~/Desktop/EmuDeck.desktopin Konsole returns a "Desktop: command not found" error, meaning the terminal pathing profile is glitching out.
Has anyone found a clean way to force the EmuDeck GUI to execute on the latest Bazzite build? The my main goal is to setup ESDE for launch within the SteamOS along with setting up individual games for favorites (mainly switch).
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance! It's only been a couple of weeks with Bazzite installed, but I am Loving Bazzite on the Ayaneo 2.
