Maybe a picture book or an early chapter book with pictures (like charlotte’s web?) where a little animal sneaks in somewhere, eats too much, and is too fat to squeeze back out under the gate. I thought it was Peter rabbit, but he never gets stuck under the gate. Distinctly remember an illustration of animal’s back end sticking out from under the gate and maybe he digs his way down to make more room? It’s also not Pooh bear getting stuck in rabbit’s house after eating too much honey.
