How to stop friendly stray from stashing kills in the shelter I put out?
Ive been feeding this girl for about two months, we are friendly and she’s usually around. She is still an avid hunter, which is great , as I have a rodent problem, except for that she likes to stash her kills in the half covered bed I made for her. This is a hygiene concern for me. I’ve had to regularly clear it out. Just now she caught a full size rabbit and is snacking in bed 😅 I know this is natural behavior, but any tips? Thanks.
Edit: also worried about attracting coyotes I know they are in the area
Edit: bringing her inside is not an option. I understand there is risk. Not every situation is perfect. I hoped r/feral_cats might be helpful.
