Green Card produced with Old EAD photo from 2021

Has this happened to anyone else? USCIS approved and mailed my green card, but the card photo is from my old STEM OPT EAD from years ago.

What is odd is that they had:

  1. A newer biometrics photo from AOS
  2. A newer AOS EAD/AP combo card with new photo

Yet the GC still used the old STEM OPT image instead of either of the newer ones. Everything else on the card is correct.

I know USCIS systems can be inconsistent, but I was curious whether others have seen USCIS pull very old photos for final GC production instead of the most recent ones.

UPDATE: Emma told me it’s in queens FO , which is non local.

Hi all,

I’m a bit confused about my I-485 case location and wondering if anyone has seen something similar.

Last week, when I contacted USCIS, they told me my case was at my local field office. But today, after checking again, a different agent said it’s currently at the National Benefits Center.

I’m not sure how to interpret this:

  • Does this mean the case was transferred back from the USCIS local field office to NBC?
  • Or are agents just seeing different snapshots of the system?
  • Which one should I consider the “real” current location?

For context, I’ve already shared my full timeline in a previous post (https://www.reddit.com/r/eb\_1a/comments/1sobzhu/sharing\_eb1a\_timeline\_to\_track\_movement/).

Would appreciate if others who experienced location changes (especially NBC ↔ field office) can share what it meant in their case.
