Hi everyone,

I’m currently working on a gravitational-wave theory project focused on bimetric ECO ringdowns, discrete-scale-invariant spectra, and post-ringdown mode phenomenology. My current analysis pipeline is already fully operational on public O4a data (GWpy / PyCBC / Bilby / HPC workflow), and I’m now trying to understand the realistic and legitimate path toward working with O4b-era data.

The reason I’m interested in O4b specifically is that my current work depends strongly on:

higher-SNR ringdown events,

improved statistics for post-merger spectral structure,

better constraints on subdominant mode content,

and potentially larger event populations for consistency tests.

I’m NOT asking for confidential data or for anyone to violate LVK/IGWN policies.

What I’m looking for is mainly:

expected public release timeline for O4b,

official academic/collaboration access routes,

public low-latency or derived products,

mock data / injections / metadata useful for ringdown studies,

or contacts/groups already working on related ECO or beyond-GR analyses.

The project is theory-heavy but intended to become observationally testable against real GW catalog data, so I’m mainly trying to understand what resources are realistically accessible now and what the recommended path is for researchers preparing O4b-scale analyses.

If there’s a better forum, mailing list, workshop, collaboration channel, or documentation page for this kind of question, I’d really appreciate being pointed in the right direction.

Thanks a lot.

Hi everyone,

I’ve already completed and validated my analysis workflow on publicly available O4a data, and I’m now trying to understand the realistic and legitimate paths for working with O4b data moving forward.

To be clear, I’m not asking for confidential material or for anyone to bypass LVK/IGWN access policies.

What I’m mainly looking for is information regarding one or more of the following:

• Expected public release timeline for O4b through GWOSC.

• Any official or academic access route currently available.

• Relevant collaboration contacts, working groups, or teams already involved in O4b-adjacent analyses.

• Publicly shareable derived products, injections, simulations, metadata, low-latency products, or auxiliary resources that can legally be used before the full release.

My current pipeline is already operational on O4a (GWpy / PyCBC / Bilby / HPC environment), so I’m not starting from scratch. I’m mainly trying to understand what is realistically accessible today, through which channels, and what the recommended next step is for researchers preparing O4b-scale analyses.

If there’s a more appropriate forum, mailing list, Slack/Matrix space, documentation page, or collaboration process I should follow, I’d really appreciate being pointed in the right direction.

Thanks in advance.
