Passed with low but consistent scores

This write up is for people that feel they are right on the edge. I did Anki for a year and very few practice problems out side of my actual classes. Dedicated for me was 7 weeks I did a nbme weekly and first week I was overwhelmed and tried to get through as many Anki cards as possible content wise and saw a drop and panicked. Reviewing nbmes was hell and it took me 5 days each exam anything I didn't know or was unsure if I was reviewing in pathoma. After the drop I decided to switch it up and introduce practice questions about 40 daily! This is where I saw a huge jump to the 60s and decided to keep doing what I was doing then I got stagnant on the next nbme and decided to switch it up and do 100 questions of uworld. I this is how I finally broke the 65s. I kept up with my Anki but had to lower retention down to 70% because it was too much I was only doing the high yield and it still was like a 1000 cards a day. Then I keep doing what I was doing saw a drop on free 120 talked to my school they said delay. I didn't think I could take this for another month I didn't integrate any wellness or breaks into my dedicated and was burning out, I felt ready and thought if I delayed I was gonna forget more than I learn. So I talked to ms3s they all said sit so I sent it and walked out of the exam spiraling. Regretting I took the exam because it was so hard. Amboss said 99% of passing and that's all what got me through these past two weeks. I'm not some USMLE genius but I do believe consistency of passing even if barely and feeling ready are key

I took step today and my heart just feels heavy with failure.

It was the weirdest exam I've ever taken. I was putting answer I couldn't even tell you if they were right or wrong. I missed so many easy questions the more I look up. So many things I just didn't know. I've gone through first aid so many times. It felt nothing like the nbmes. Lots of concepts I hadn't seen tested like that before. At this point if I fail I don't know what I could do differently. If I delayed I would have had to take a 1 month pause from studying for a clinical rotation so I wasn't sure if that was a good option but now i don't know if I should have sat the exam. Felt like I did everything but now I'm crying and spiralling for the past 5 hours.
