Is Kakarot Enjoyable for Someone who know Nothing about DBZ and really only know Marvel or DC?

Hi everyone,

I wanted to get some thoughts on Kakarot, and how accessible/fun it is for someone who knows next to nothing about DBZ.

This all started after my friend and I were lamenting that DC has never made a Superman game because they think he's too powerful. I was grumbling that there's nothing to really scratch that superhero power fantasy in gaming. And my mate said I should check out this Kakarot game since the protagonist is super strong, can fly, and battles guys ten times his strength in an open world.

I'm wondering does the gameplay scratch that power fantasy/superhero itch?

And do I need to watch the series or read the books first or can I just jump in? (I know Goku is the main hero, and he's an alien that protects Earth, but that's it.)

I'm also wondering about the RPG elements. I'm not huge into crafting and such so I'm curious how in-depth the menus and learning curve are.

Appreciate your thoughts in advance.

Thanks.
