Am I crazy for wanting Chemical Engineering? Need honest advice: Everyone is choosing CSE/Mech/Electrical and it’s making me second-guess Chemical. Help a girly out?
Hello, I am a 12th-grade gulf student currently preparing for the JEE at the ALLEN Institute. During a recent mentoring session, I noticed that while most of my peers plan to pursue mainstream branches like CSE, Electrical, and Mechanical, I was the only one interested in Chemical Engineering. This has made me question my choice. My target college is NIT trichy or NIT Calicut and I am confident in my ability to clear the required cutoff. Furthermore, I am fully prepared to study seriously and handle the academic rigor of the branch, even if it is challenging, as my ultimate career objective is to secure a job in the Gulf or anywhere abroad . However, given the complete lack of interest from my peers, I am facing a dilemma about whether Chemical Engineering remains a viable, rewarding career path or if I should reconsider my preferences.
