Looking for a game where loot is plentiful and combat feels like an actual battle. Like if I hit something, I want it to stagger or react as if it’s been hit. The entirety of the Dark Souls franchise, Elden Ring, Lords of the Fallen, The Surge games and even Skyrim are pretty good examples of what I’m looking for. The difficulty isn’t a necessity at all, it can be casual.

Bonus points for games focused around melee, but I’ll also take shooters if you got’em. Cyberpunk and Borderlands are up there as some of my favorites. Just want to collect a ton of cool loot and feel like there’s some weight behind the blows dealt to enemies, not just floating damage numbers while they continue to charge at me unfazed. Thanks!
