My son is 8 and I think he would really be into this he and I do roleplaying a lot in the backyard and we build elaborate worlds to play. I think this would be a good fit. At a recent renaissance fair we met some people who agreed and encouraged DnD and said an 8 year old could play.

My question is how with just the two of us? My wife might join in but can’t count on it. Any suggestions on how to bend any rules so he and I can play or three of us including my wife? Or is this just not enough and we need to find a local kid friendly group?

I have a strat with Tex mex pickups and I know it’s routed for HSS underneath. I’d like to be a SH-4 JB humbucker in the bridge but I always hear about the drawbacks about volume differences possibly needing different pots.

What’s the best path forward to convert Tex mex single coils to the humbucker in the bridge?
