I made a post the other day about removing the trim piece around the central AC vents. Thanks to the helpful comments, that popped off easily with some plastic pry tools.
I'd been using a vent clip type holder for my phone but it prevented the up/down & left/right adjustment of the air. The space just the below the right side vent seemed perfect for a custom mount if I could access it and there was room behind there for a fastener.
A bit of googling turned up a 3d print file for a 16mm ball mount that would work with my existing MagSafe mount/charger. With that and a 6-32 x 1-1/4 cap head screw, washer, & nut it was a quick and easy install.
