I am a 5 handicap and have been for the past year or two. I mostly got here by playing a lot over the last few years. For those that have made the leap from a mid single digit handicap to scratch, does it come down to practice? What helped you get there?

Also, for those that are a 3-6 handicap and tried to get to scratch but couldn’t; what do you think prevented you from doing so? Did you practice and play a lot and still couldn’t get there?
