I’m new to coin collecting so still learning! This was a little more costly than I expected. I ended up on liveauctioneers site and bought a few coins last night.
There were a lot of “firsts” for me along the way.
After the first win, I noticed the buyer premium added to the cost. At 15% ok I guess and not unexpected, but never saw it quoted anywhere, likely buried in some fine print somewhere.
Taking the fee in consideration still won a couple more.
Then the invoice comes in email and total is $749.70 for the items with the buyer premium and shipping of $7.95 included.
Then go to the website to pay and it said total $850.45.
Includes:
-Another shipping of $13.09 on top of $7.95,
-Online payments fee of $32.80,
-Handling and insurance $7.91,
-and sales tax $46.95.
I set up bank ACH payment and it reduced the Online payments fee to $8.66 (kinda stings a bit) and new total $824.86.
Just sharing what I learned for others to see.
