Well, it makes sense that I cannot comprehend anything in the Chinese Section 4 radio, if they are filled with unknown words.Everyone of those 4 words have not yet been introduced. And I know that they are unknown words because I add every new word Duolingo introduces to my flashcard app (Hanly). I also spend a lot of time on comprehensible input on YouTube, graded readers with audio where I see fine progress.

But the radio units in section 4 are straight up impossible at the level you are supposed to have at that level.

Very demotivating to progress in Duolingo when these incomprehensible lessons show op.

I have been chugging along mainly with Hanly, Duolingo and Chatgpt for HSK appropriate exercises, and various apps/YouTube for listening. This includes a little DU Chinese. DU Chinese currently has a free entire story at either Elementary or upper intermediate, but they are time limited, thus forcing me to attempt upper intermediate.

I found out that they are quite doable....time consuming but doable.

I just wanted to share, very satisfying to see that my self study is not pointless. 🥳
