Bathroom breaks during Final Exam

I suppose this is a vent/searching for others with similar experiences? I am beside myself.

Small survey lecture course. Final exam today. They have already had a midterm exam + 2 other tests this semester. I started using Blue Books with them so they would take things more seriously during assessments. I swear they are the densest people I have met in a long time. I feel bad saying that---but I verbally told them 3 or more times, put it in writing countless times....reminded them through emails the night before and then right before I hand out the exam...I literally stand at the front of class as say, "Does anyone need to use the restroom before we begin? Remember, you are not allowed to leave the room once you begin the exam..." I give them the option to go before they begin!!!

Three. THREE out of 11 students asked to use the fking bathroom in the middle of the g-d exam. WTAF are we doing here? TWO had cell phones go off AND ASK IF THEY COULD ANSWER IT.

Phew. Good grief. It is getting so rough out there.

I gave them all the answers throughout all of their test preps, too. I gave them a mock exam. I gave them the key to it. I did an in-class review/discussion to prep. I let them use a full sheet of notes, front and back. Still----half have failed the exam.
