Is it already the END for Iyer’s Captaincy??

https://youtu.be/X7oGpA93BdI?si=dmrIpVGR7HWK32mY

Joben always speaks facts. I agree with everything said in this video. Let’s not be too hard on our players and let’s trust them. They’ll come back stronger🤞🏻

EDIT: Looks like people from other fanbases are commenting on the post without reading the description or watching the video so I’ll give a summary to the video

After the 2 losses to Ireland, people have suddenly started missing SKY and want him back as the captain. No doubt, he has a brilliant record as a captain which might be hard to beat by anyone. But his batting has not been great apart from a few innings here and there in the past 1.5-2 years. Age is also not on his side. If he were still the captain, would he be able to last 2 years until the olympics and world cup in 2028? Not really possible. So dropping him as a captain was a good call. It is easy to criticise now from hindsight.

Yes, the team lost to Ireland but does that mean they’re ‘frauds’? No. Iyer has been made the captain and he deserved it this year as well as last year. He has been performing well with 500+ run seasons in IPL. Yes, he didn’t perform well in the series but sometimes it happens. Other than Shreyas, Sanju was in talks for captaincy, who also couldn’t perform well in this series, same with Ishan. This is not Pakistan team that we sack the captain after 2 losses. This is BCCI and they’ll back their decisions for long term.

Now the real problem is that our players have been playing on IPL pitches which are flat and the boundaries are as short as 50-60m. Even half-edges go for sixes. Harshit Rana’s shot on the 2nd last ball would’ve gone for a 6 in any indian ground. BCCI should take it as a lesson to at least make the boundaries bigger. The next wc is in Australia, where grounds have bigger boundaries. The ground dimensions hurt India in this series. Our players also looked underprepared and maybe overconfident.

There are no real fans of Indian Cricket anymore. There are only franchise or individual fans left. People are celebrating India’s loss because of who the captain is and their favourite player or a player from their favourite franchise was left out from the squad. Appreciate Ireland for their victory. They used the home advantage well. Let’s trust our boys and hope for a good series in England.

2 bad knocks and now they want shreyas to be dropped from the odi 11

Idk why they hate on shreyas so much. Ever since the losing streak of pbks started, there has been so much hate going around for him.

The comments on the thread for the odi match are filled with how kishan deserves a chance ahead of iyer in odi as well as t20i captaincy, and how they don’t trust shreyas on south african pitches.

Yeah, kishan did well today. But it has been just 2 matches. We can’t keep asking for a player to be dropped if they don’t do well in 2-3 games. We should back them.

I have trust on shreyas and ik he’ll prove himself like he always does. I hope he does well going forward.
