After looking through submissions, I got the vibe that Placeholder would be a little nervous around Doodley idk why lol

Also Doodley’s strong as hell, idk how light PH is tbh but I have no doubt in my mind they could pick him up and barely break a sweat😭

I also originally was gonna try and do something more ambitious but life’s busy and I had no time so this will have to do😞

The reason I ever drew Placeholder in the first place was because I wantes to test out different styles of limbs and faces on object characters without habing to draw one of my more complex OCs (I had barely an simple ones at the time)

I haven’t shown it off super well, but basically the fun cool gimick of his character is meant to be that he can switch to any art style he feels like. So, I thought it’d be cool for PH to literally be melting in his corrupted form, unable to hold a shape!!

Ofc that’s not enough tho, I have to have my fun angsty double meanings<3 yeah it’s supposed to be ironic (the shapeshifter can’t hold his shape) BUT it’s also meant to speak to his insecurities (no surprise there, I’m sure you all know them very well by now but I’ll explain anyways).

He has a lack of a personal identity and feels obligated to help and serve others because that was the original purpose of his creation. He has no titles (like “son”) and he has no name. He’s not normal, he was literally created to make life more convenient for someone who was granted extreme powers by the gods. There’s no way he could help the person that powerful do something that she can’t do herself, so he can’t even fulfill his purpose, the one reason he’s even alive in the first place. Placeholder can be anything he wants, but that will never be enough because inside he feels worthless and like he’s nothing at all.

His corrupted form brings those feelings to the outside. You feel like you’re nothing? Fine, be nothing. He used to be a pristine and sometimes shining white, but now that how he really feels about himself has been pushed outwards, he is a dark, muddy grey. Even more than that, you can see the magic that is essentially his being. You can literally see his insides, and he’s nothing more than just a sentient ball of magic. To some, being made of magic may seem cool, they may even envy him. But this shows what he’s tried to ignore and hide his entire life since he met people aside from the gods, his creator, and other magic beings. Everyone knows QR Code. Everyone knows the color of her magic, and everyone knows that he acts as her assistant most times. It is literally his worst insecurity on display for everyone to see, and he can’t do anything about it. He can’t even run and hide because he has to focus on holding himself together, literally.

Despite how worthless he feels, he’s scared and he’s still trying to hold himself together. Interesting, huh? He may have been falling apart mentally before, but now he’s falling apart physically and he is terrified. He doesn’t even know it, but that proves how real and how alike he is to everyone around him. It’s cruel. The only thing that could ever prove to him how real he is is under horrific circumstance, and he’s too worried about others realizing what he is to realize just how real he is.

(Okay I almost certaintly guarentee this is not what corrupted was supposed to mean so that’s my bad, but what else am I supposed to do my character is a WHITE CIRCLE😭)

Am I crazy? I used to dye leather helmets all the time when I was younger, I even searched up the recipe for this
