Earned $69k writing financial analyses on SA between 2017 and 2026

Sixty-nine thousand five dollars and seventy-one cents ($69,005.71). That’s how much I’ve earned since 2017 from writing 807 financial analyses at Seeking Alpha under the name Gold Panda. With each one of them taking up around three hours for research and writing, you are looking at around 2,421 hours or 302.625 eight-hour working days. This translates into $228.02 per day and with around 250 working days in a typical year, this is an annualized income of $57,005.

I’m a firm believer in the idea that you can make a decent living from writing and that all you need is an internet connection and a good level of English. Feel free to ask me anything about my experiences.

Buying SK Hynix directly instead of DRAM ahead of the IPO

Hey I have shares in SK Hynix through the GDS in Frankfurt. With the IPO of the company in the US expected in June or July 2026 and Korean stocks now available at IBKR, I thought it would be good to have a comparison between buying in Korea and Germany instead of buying the DRAM ETF for exposure. I've made a free post comparing the two on payments for borrowing owned shares, fees and margin loan rates, trading hours, and liquidity and spreads. I hope this helps someone and please let me known if I made a mistake or missed anything. Post here

Is 70 views good for a first post?

I just started writing and my first post has received 70 views and three likes in just over a day. I've written on other platforms and I dunno, it just feels underwhelming. I'm used to getting over a thousand views for something I write and I've even reached a million a few times. Then again, I would probably get just a few clicks if I started a new Youtube channel. Different platforms, different dynamics. So, are these numbers good for a first post and do you have any tips for a begginer?
