Dream SMP Continuation Series - would anyone watch this?
My team and I have been working on this for quite a while now, refining and rewriting and trying to make it become a reality - I'm still motivated to make it because, simply put, I am a sentimental idiot who is not going to be disuaded by things like health issues, depression, or burn out.
I want to gauge if the current version of the series storyline would actually be something people want to see. SO, here is a highly paraphrased general synopsis of our series storyline.
The three characters we follow the most are Karl (who's a time traveler), Tommy (who's.... Uh, well, Tommy) and Ranboo (who has no idea who he is). All three of them are trying to navigate a world that is changing and a story that they can't control very much anymore.
Our story takes place sometime after the destruction of L'manberg, though a lot of the lore and story has been changed to fit this series. We have Tommy, fresh from Exile but still very mischievous, we have Ranboo, who is just trying to survive and figure out where he came from, and we have Karl, who is trying desperately to steer the story in the right direction (and failing!)
Some side arcs and characters, we have Technoblade, who is terrifying and awesome and responsible for the destruction of many major cities, we have Phil, who's all cryptic and old, we have Zoroaster, who is actually much older than Phil and a volunteer therapist, we have Juniper, an over enthusiastic girl trying to salvage what's left of L'manberg, Iris, an Eldritch furry who was chucked into the story all of a sudden and now has to live with all these people and their insanity, and A LOT MORE.
Insighting incident? I THOUGHT YOU'D NEVER ASK!! So the world border is just this big black river that kills everything and no one knows what's on the other side until one day Iris gets thrown into the river by her best friend as an attempt to kill her but then KARL comes along and fishes her out because of course he does and now that IRIS is a part of their world and storyline's equation, everything just... Starts to unravel.
So with the possibility of more people and entities with all manner of strange abilities becoming able to cross the barrier and enter the SMP.... Well, that could result in a few....eh...... Problems.
That's the general gist of the series, I might (and probably will) change some things about it later. It's been in production for over three years but we haven't put out much yet due to other conflicts like school, health issues, and other stuff. We're still pretty determined to make this happen, however.
