Note I found on my car at Fox Hollow Villages. New level of suburban entitlement.

They also have (non-official) signs all over the place telling people not to park on their public city streets. FYI there were no other cars parked on the street as far as the eye could see and every McMansion had a two car garage and driveway. This is a new level of snobbery lol.

Edit: just due to how popular this post is getting and some of the comments, I want to say I don’t think anyone should go be a dick to this neighborhood. Park there if you want to access the trail but be respectful and don’t drive or park crazy.

How has 16th street changed since the revamp?

This is going to sound like a negative rant, but I’m genuinely curious. I used to live in LoDo and would walk down 16th street pretty much every day, but I moved in 2023 and haven’t really been there since right before they started this massive construction project. I just walked it today, and as best as I can see, the street and the area is 90% the same.

Changes I noticed:

- they paved the street and sidewalk and made it look more like a seamless promenade vs a street and sidewalk, which looks nicer

- they slightly upgraded some seating areas and hangout areas, added more and better chairs, and moved most of the little food huts to these hangout areas.

- there were less homeless people, although still some around

And that’s pretty much it. I know people talk about it like it was skid row before, but it was fine. It was kitschy, and touristy, and there were homeless people, but it looked like a normal boring main promenade of a mid city. And it’s not meaningfully different today. I like the idea of revamping and making it nicer, and it does look a little better, but I don’t understand how that could have possible taken 3 years and $175 million dollars.

Challah bread in North/West metro?

Shabbat Shalom! Does anyone know of a store or bakery that sells challah in north Denver/Wheatridge/Arvada or around there? I haven’t been able to find any.

Where to watch Mexico World Cup game

Looking for a place that will be filled with Mexico jerseys and child-friendly. It can be like a brewery or place that serves alcohol, just not a real bar where kids can’t go.

Looking for RFA success stories

I got bilateral RFA in my low back last week and my back is super tight and painful 5 days later, much worse than it ever was before the procedure. I'm trying to stay positive and not spiral into thoughts that I just permanently destroyed my back so I would love to hear any stories from people who had success with their RFA procedure!

I'm especially interested in hearing how the day-by-day recovery went for you guys, so I can tell myself that this increased pain is just my body healing from the recovery and it will get worse before it gets better. I'll take any positivity I can get right now!
