Got 6 months where I need a job between graduating 12/26 and starting residency 7/27. What should I do?

I go to a USMD school where some of us graduate in December. But alas, can't be a doctor until the following July. I'm looking for a job that's more 9-5 with minimal weekends and holidays. But also, want to make as much cash as I can. I've looked at some medical assistant jobs but would like to avoid the clinic/hospital if I can. Then, anything in customer service/food service would likely require evenings and weekends. Just looking for some brainstorming or cheat codes out there.

Also, just for fun, what would you do in these 6 months if money wasn't a problem?

Thinking about dual applying

I'm starting M4 year and making a late switch to rads. Before, I rotated through all cores and hoped I'd find The One, but never really did. Then, I rotated through some IM subspecialities and still did not find The One. Now, on a rads rotation, I had some time in breast radiology and also have a 4-week breast-rads-specific rotation starting next week. And I think I found The One.

It was recommended to me to dual apply IM because of the competitiveness of rads. Overall, I've got decent research involvement with 8 pubs, step 2 is 265+, I'm doing a couple summer QI projects in rads to bolster that part of the resume. I think I can get 1-2 LORs from rads and have other IM letters secured. But up until now, it's pretty obvious a lot of my work was IM focused.

So, is dual applying 15 rads programs and 15 IM programs a good option for me? At the end of the day, I want to rank all my rads programs first, but I am terrified I'll get like 2 rads interviews. Thanks!!!

Nuvaring causing penis irritation?

I have been using my nuvaring for about 5 months now and love it! My bf and I use condoms about 90% of time but sometimes don't when traveling or after forgetting to buy more. I always have him pull out and haven't had any accidents.

Recently though, he told me when we do have sex without a condom, he'll feel some burning the first time he pees but it usually goes away by the next morning. We both have been tested for STIs so could this be from the nuvaring? Has anyone else experienced it before?

What is realistic pay for hospitalists? Preferably in Midwest, urban or suburban.

I'm a rising 4th year US MD student, trying to decide on radiology (to specialize in breast) or IM with the intention of hospital medicine. I've always enjoyed IM and think I'd love 7 on 7 off, but have been considering radiology more and more for the lifestyle aspect.

Realistically, what does a hospitalist salary look like? Is the work comparable to the pay? Is the lifestyle good or at least doable? Thankful for any help and guidance!
