Advice Needed
Hi!
I have just finished my third year of Law, and will be a finalist in September. Unfortunately, I have not secured any internships for this summer, as well as the previous summer. I do not have any strong legal experience as of now, but I would like to build some – if it will be possible.
So, I am planning to write to some small firms in Ireland if there might be any opportunity to work for them either for free or maybe part-time. Some of my friends doing law have done that in the past. I wanted to ask if it would be better to send them emails or write to those firms via LinkedIn. Also, should I even say that I would be fine working just for experience, as free/volunteering, or would it be a bad tone from my side.
If someone could share their thoughts on this, or provide some advice if they have done this in the past, I would be very happy to hear.
