I fell in love with Abisko hybrid trail trousers ever since I got them. Since then, I put them through a lot of use: fishing, hiking, backpacking, backpackfishing. I also washed them a lot. 

I usually machine wash in cold water then hang dry. Never used a drier. It never had any issues, but suddenly at the 4th wash, the G-1000 Lite side appeared to start pilling.  Next time I wash these, I’ll put these in a garment bag and hopefully it’ll help.  

On the website, it recommends 40C wash, so washing it in cold should be gentler than required.

Has anyone else experienced this, whether with these pants or another G-1000 Lite piece of gear?

I browsed the new arrivals section and realized there's a bunch of new "Samlaren" products. They are 100% cotton ripstop: wind resistant, water resistant and abrasion resistant (implied by the description "ripstop"). No mention of waxability but I'm pretty sure it's waxable as it's made from cotton. I'm very curious how these perform.
