Don't even try Zorin
A couple of years ago when I was new to Linux and distro-hopping I first tried Zorin, which sucked, then Mint Cinnamon which is good, and then discovered Kubuntu, which is fantastic and the best distro by far.
Lately there's been a lot of promotional hype about Zorin 18, so today, just for kicks I popped a different hard drive in my dual-booting laptop and installed Zorin. It's promoted to be the best Linux distro for people leaving Windows, but it took only a few minutes to find that it's extremely slow, apps take forever to load, and the app discover feature, whatever they call it is awful. Its Windows look-alike menu is very inferior to Linux Mint and Kubuntu. Zorin is so bad it's worse than Windows, which makes me wonder if Microsoft is secretly promoting it to discourage people from switching to Linux. I reinstalled the Kubuntu drive only to find that Zorin had rewritten GRUB leaving Windows as the only operating system that will load.
