A Patient Geometry
This story begins, as most stories do, with a fervent desire to know more. An insatiable
hunger brewing inside of us about things beautiful yet terrible, that we cannot look away
from. They say "Curiosity killed the cat”, but most people will leave out the rest of that
phrase. “But satisfaction brought him back.” My time left in this place is slipping from my
fingers like fine silk, so I will use what little of it remains to tell you my story. I will tell you of
my own grandiose curiosity, of the path I have woven myself into, and let you decide for
yourself whether what I uncovered was revelation, or merely a permission to succumb to
something older than the trees. Only time will tell.
