How is this dished area done? Sew description
I've been getting ads for these a lot and thinking about trying to make a knock off with the foam and fabric leftover from my current project, but having a hard time wrapping my head around how to approach it
I'm fairly new to all this so still learning what's what, but I'm having a hard time seeing how the fabric in the dished area in the center conforms to the foam. Seems like all the seams on each side would just pull it taught. Is it just glued in place? If so, how does that work when you're slipping the rest of the cover on? Or is the whole thing ladder stitched in place after the panels are glued on?
The seats I'm working on now have a somewhat similar feature, but there are straps on the wrong end that clip to braces in the foam to hold everything snug. I don't see how something like that would be possible on this, and there's also no stitch line indicating that there are any straps here anyway
If anyone has any guidance or suggestions of what to search for to figure this out, I'd appreciate it!
