Liberals should look in the bright side. Maybe Colbert will go back to Comedy Central and be funny again.

The Daily Show is funny again now that Jon Stewart is back (at least Mondays). Josh Johnson is okay. The rest are boring. Klepper downright sucks. Maybe the Colbert Report will come back too.

You can't say that vax dance thing wasn't utterly cringy and extremely unfunny.

But if that's your style of comedy at least you still have Kimmel.

So, hang in there. You'll get through this.

According to the left, sticks and stones are tools of the oppressed but names are the true violence.

The left always has a very fluid and convenient definition of violence that absolves them of hypocrisy. Sometimes words are violence. Sometimes silence is violence.

What doesn't seem to count as violence to them? Erupting in an orgiastic physical assault when someone says a word or punching someone you have unilaterally decided to be a Nazi. Apparently there is nothing violent to them about it.

It's just a tool of the oppressed or some other hypoxia-brained bullshit.

People should only be called "survivors" if their life was truly on the line.

For instance if someone were the victim of an attempted murder it would be appropriate to call them a survivor. If they went down in a plane crash and lived - survivor.

Calling victims of other crimes "survivors" if attempted murder was never a factor cheapens the term.

You might as well call me a survivor of pickpocketing.

We all know what you're trying to do. Give it a rest.

Reddit is full of hypocrites on AI's carbon footprint

Reddit is full of people who have logged 2000+ hours in Steam playing video games that require high-end graphics cards. Do they utter a peep about these people's carbon foot print? Of course not because "muh video videogames are crucial to my mental health".

I'm sure whatever AI usage I've done in the past year pales in comparison to the people wasting their lives on videogames.

But Reddit is full of dopamine addled children, so don't expect them to point the finger inward anytime soon.

If leftists can use Europe to claim Bernie isn't left then I can use any religious/authoritarian country to claim any GOP member isn't right.

"BeRnIE WoUlD Be CeNtER In EurOpE"

Okay then Donald Trump would be a leftist in Afghanistan.

Okay, so where has this gotten us?

Absolutely no where. So can we please shut up about where American politicians would be left, right or center in any other country that isn't the US?

It's dumb and adds nothing to the conversation.

There are daily posts about how this sub is awful and is full of far right talking points (btw, this sub isn't anywhere close to being FAR right).

But the people who say this still love to stick around here.

They'll say it's to "dunk on conservatives" or whatever they tell themselves but the reality is they love outrage. And it outrages them seeing right-wing talking points on their lefty website.

Plus, nearly every other sub is boring and full of TDS.

So, enjoy the content :-)

It would be absurd to think that for the past 60 years the spotlight hasn't been placed front and center on certain groups.

And anytime a white person or a male tries to bring up a topic from their perspective they get accused of trying to "center" the conversation on them.

Well, though shit. People talk about what is important to themselves. And that often involves talking about their own issues.

There is enough spotlight to go around. No need to be so insecure that if you think the spotlight goes off you for a couple seconds that everyone has forgotten about your issues.

He made all these promises during his campaign and now that he's in office he realizes that there simply isn't enough money for what he wants to do.

So he has to pump the brakes on some of these freebies.

But the leftists cry that "that's not his fault". When you become mayor you take on the responsibility to follow through with what you agreed to. So yeah it is his fault.

Okay, now go ahead and whatabout Trump or some other Republican unrelated to this topic because you know I'm right.

It's not sufficient just to call out prejudice anymore. Now you have to show that it's "institutional".

Well, the criminal justice system is an institution and it's been shown that men typically receive longer sentences for the same crimes.

So please, leftists. I would love to hear the excuses about why this institutional misandry doesn't count or doesn't exist. I'm ready to be educated.

I'm not trying to downplay this issue. It's an important issue and you absolutely should try to make it happen. This is more about perspective.

Leftists are trying to sell this idea of society being pretty much as bad as the 1960s, if not worse, when the reality is that we're a mostly equal society with equality of opportunities.

And the problems we face now require small, incremental steps rather than some great upheaval.

Things are continuously getting better. Dont be fooled by the baiters.

It's not a surprise that they lost support across several groups.

They treated men as a problem to be solved rather than a constituency to be served.

It's not a huge problem for white men. We were raised with it and have gotten used to it. But "men" also includes other people who rightfully saw the bullshit being slung their way and decided to break away from the Dems.

They got greedy and expanded their hate circle too fast. If they had stuck to what they know, blaming white men specifically, that might have got them over the finish line.

During their cold open they had Aziz Ansari playing Kash Patel and he joked that his appointment to the FBI was a historic one because he was the first Indian to be bad at his job. He said, "That's right. We can be just as bad as the whites".

Anyone who has worked in tech can tell you that there are Indian people who are good at their job and Indian people who are bad at their job.

Pretty much like every other demographic.

But of course leave it to SNL writers to make a condescensing joke aimed at white people. A low-effort joke that involves no risk.

To my knowledge there has been no widespread defunding of the police. Yet you hardly see BLM signs these days.

Seems like it's not fashionable anymore, and got replaced by the Palestinian flag.

Hope that doesnt mean people forgot. Shouldn't there be some BLM rallies this summer?

If you think what English colonizers did to indigenous populations was bad, multiply that by about 100x and you have an idea of what Spain was responsible for.

Not only did they kill many of the native people, they also enslaved them. And while the English tended to settle in less populated areas, the Spanish brought their conquistadoring to the most densely populated parts of Central and South America.

Not to mention all the people they forced their religion onto.

Yay Spanish, I guess.

We saw this with Aaron Bushnell. When he self-immolated as a political message about Palestine the left practicaly cheered. There were posts all over social media saying "Rest in Power" and making him out to be some kind of hero.

This is disgusting behavior. He needed help, but the left baically just glofies his death and, in turn, made it seem like this is an honorable way to die, almost as if they were encouraging others to do the same.

We also saw this with Luigi. The kid threw his life away and will probably remain in prison for the rest of it. And in the end, he didn't really achieve much anyway.

Remember that there are real families being destroyed here, and I'm not just talking about Brian Thompon's family, but for Luigi and Aaron too.

Its downright perverse to glorify these things, because they know (hope) that it will encoutage others to do the same.

Psychopath behavior.

They'll argue that they have to put things in such blunt terms to make it easy for conservatives to understand, but the reality is this is how they talk to each other too. Their brains are constantly running loops about Nazis. Its all they ever talk about because everything in their mind gets framed as good against nazism.

Its brain rot.
