Oh no, another Winds post..
Perfect weather, less than 15 cars at the trailhead Friday morning. One night out, two basins, so many lakes, 35 miles and lots of solitude. I find it hard sometimes to stay out longer. Then I regret not staying longer. I find the special moments, hours, mornings in such magnificent places are fleeting either way. The Milky Way was amazing before the half moon showed up. I only went about 2 miles into Indian Basin the next morning, but it was stunning. I think I enjoyed it more than Titcomb, but both were spectacular. Whether I’m out there or not, I’m so thankful these places are protected and available for us to visit.
