When idling my temp reach 96c and up to 100ishc. While driving it goes down quickly 92-93c and heating inside blow hotter. I was in the process how changing my coolant but before I did it did the same but I believe I was missing a bit of coolant but. Nothing drastic. Is this a sign of falling thermostat or water pump or simply air in the system?????

So in short my car (328i) overheated once while at idle (120-130 degrees). I believe the car is fine as I only let it sit for less than 5 minutes and I shut it off as soon as I saw it.
I was slightly low on coolant ( slightly below the cold mark) and I may have a small leak, not enough to notice it on the reservoir. My heating wasn’t working.
I let it cool down and now my heating works some what (when driving at first then fully). I was able to drive with no overheating (temp 90-103 Celsius).
Sorry for the terrible spelling I’m mad tired.
